Katie Kolodinski shares her travel must dos and stays in the Provençal city of Arles.

Katie Kolodinski, founder of much-loved Australian label Silk Laundry, embarked on a road trip from Barcelona to the South of France earlier this year to shoot the campaign for the brand’s most recent collection, Open Spaces 024.23. Though Kolodinski’s travels saw her find inspiration in many of the places she visited, there was one particular spot in the South of France that resonated with her on an even deeper level.

“Arles is a town where time seems to slow down, and you're free to explore its rich history and artistic influence,” she tells Vogue Living. “It's an opportunity to experience the heart of Provence, where I uncovered the perfect mix of old-world charm and contemporary appeal.” A city on the Rhône river, Arles became renowned as a hub of culture and religion during the late Roman Empire—something which remains palpable in the city’s unique old-world charm and beauty, Kolodinski notes.
